About

We don't let good businesses die quietly.

The Painted Porch is a platform built by operators, for operators — to turn small businesses into durable ones and durable ones into category leaders, without losing the soul of what you make.

Who we are

The Painted Porch is built and run by Skylar and Shelby Webber, owners of DotWin LLC. DotWin is a business accelerator — we work alongside small business owners to grow them into large ones, using the same playbook every time: get honest about the numbers, plug directly into direct-to-consumer and B2B channels, install the systems and software that let small teams compete with national brands, and put real marketing behind real products.

We are not a software vendor renting you tools. We are an accelerator that happens to build software because the off-the-shelf stuff kept getting in the way of our clients.

Why this exists

On April 14, 2026, Painted Tree Boutiques filed for bankruptcy and closed more than sixty locations overnight. Thousands of independent artisan vendors — people who had built real, sustainable businesses inside those walls — lost their storefront, their foot traffic, and in many cases their inventory. They learned from a midnight email.

If you have ever tried to start a business, you know how overwhelming the beginning feels. Starting over— with inventory on the line, a deadline from a trustee, a customer list you don't own, and a family depending on the monthly check — is something else entirely. At DotWin, we have spent years in the margins of small businesses. We know what this feels like. And we know it is solvable.

So we built The Painted Porch. Not as a charity. Not as a lifeboat. As the platform we would have wanted on that Tuesday morning — a place to list your shop, rebuild your storefront on your own domain, keep selling through the marketplace while you breathe, and never hand your customer list to anyone again.

The Painted Porch Project — the free, public side of this house — is where displaced Painted Tree vendors land first. A directory, a live location board, a bankruptcy brief that is actually readable, a community of other vendors figuring it out, and a free $10,000 website build for every member of Cohort 2. No credit card. No strings. Your Project listing is free forever, whether you ever buy anything from us or not.

For every small maker, not just refugees

Not a Painted Tree vendor? Welcome anyway.

The Painted Porch was born from a crisis. It is not only for the people in it. The problem that took down Painted Tree — and Tuesday Morning before it, and Pier 1 before that, and the independent boutique on your corner last year — is the same problem: small businesses keep paying rent and commission on infrastructure they don't own, to aggregators that can shut the door without notice.

The Painted Porch is the answer to that problem. It is the best of every channel a modern artisan needs, stitched into one stack:

  • Your own online storefront on your own domain, built by us, owned by you — with unlimited products, Stripe Connect payouts direct to your bank, and zero commission on every sale you drive yourself.
  • A national marketplace that runs ads for you, ranks in Google for your categories, and sends buyers to your shop without you having to learn Meta Ads Manager at midnight.
  • In-person when it matters. Vendor porch pickup from your own front door. A national Porch Pro network for buyers who live across town. A popup-market program so you can still look customers in the eye.
  • Shipping when it doesn't. Real rates, real labels, no drop-ship middleman.
  • Systems that make you look bigger than you are. Email lists you own, funnels that actually convert, a CRM that remembers customers, AI drafts for product copy in your voice, and a vendor community of people who have already solved the problem you are stuck on.

If you make something real and someone is buying it, this platform is for you — whether you came from a Painted Tree booth, an Etsy shop that stopped working, a Shopify store that feels lonely, or a kitchen table you've been running for six years out of sheer will.

The Painted part is the craft. The Porch part is the welcome. The platform is the leverage you should have had the whole time.

How this fits together

DotWin LLC is the accelerator. We work with a small number of small businesses each year — taking them from founder-run to real-operation by rebuilding their sales channels, installing the software that runs those channels, and putting the marketing behind them to scale into real revenue.

The Painted Porchis the platform that came out of that work. We built it because every DTC + B2B client we had needed the same things: a site they owned, a marketplace that drove traffic, porch pickup for local, and a fulfillment layer that didn't charge like a tax. Nothing on the market fit. So we built it.

The Painted Porch Project is the free public front door — the directory, the community, the bankruptcy brief, the free build offer for displaced vendors. We under-write it because it is the right thing to do and because the vendors we help today are the operators we want in our community tomorrow.

You can use The Painted Porch without ever paying us a dollar. Our Free Forever tier is a real free tier — 10 products, a subdomain, marketplace distribution, 10% commission on marketplace sales only, 0% on direct. Paid tiers exist for vendors who want the full accelerator: custom domain, unlimited products, 0% commission everywhere, email + funnels + ads + a national service-city footprint. That's where DotWin makes its money. It is also where vendors turn their business from a booth into a brand.

What we don't do

We don't offer legal advice. We don't represent any vendor in the Painted Tree bankruptcy. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in a grievance with Painted Tree Boutiques — we just built the resource the people they left behind needed.

We don't resell your data, rent your customer list, or hold your payouts. Every sale runs through your own Stripe account. We are the platform, not the middleman.

How to reach us

Email hello@paintedporch.market or use the contact form. Every email is read by a human, usually by Skylar or Shelby directly. We answer within a day, often within an hour.
